I am a 26-year old first time homebuyer, married about 2 years, and a naturally OCD type A personality kind of person. I ask a thousand questions, at all hours, and worry incessantly about the tiniest details. I’m also a little shy, so it’s hard to voice what’s bothering me sometimes. Melissa made this home-buying process effortless and amazing for me. She was available for me whenever I needed her. Our relationship wasn’t stuffy or formal, and she was not at all pushy or intimidating. She took the time to really listen to what I wanted in a house, and she never once made me feel like she was trying to make a commission. She had this gift of being able to tell when I was concerned about something but didn’t want to voice it, and she helped me work through any concerns I had. All the things that she recommended to me were sound and reasonable calls (ex: pointing out structural issues, guesstimating average price ranges of repairs, neighborhood information). She had so much experience in the region I was looking at. We were also new to the area, so we utilized all her recommendations when we needed home inspections or good loan officers to work with, etc. Indeed, the two houses we offered on were her findings, despite our hours of pouring over Trulia and Zillow sites. We bought the second one. We closed in record time. There were absolutely no hiccups or no delays. She was a great liaison between the seller’s agent, the lawyer’s office, and my loan officer. The negotiation on the sale and repairs went beautifully. I believe it was 20 days from offer acceptance to closing and owning my house. I would, and have recommended her to another couple I know is actively searching for a house. There is not enough room on this review for the praises I would sing of her.
